How Allied Health Assistance Works?
The Allied Health Assistance Framework provides our team with procedures on how to devise plans, implement them and monitor an effective & safe therapy program. Here is how it goes:
- After an initial assessment, your allied health professional will chart a therapy program and discuss it with your allied health assistant (AHA).
- The allied health assistants will come to you to schedule the therapy sessions.
- Your AHA will document your progress on how the therapy is working and stay in touch with the allied health professional.
- Your allied health professional will review your therapy plan every three months to assess your progress, ensure your safety, and make any necessary changes to your program.

Once an NDIS-approved therapist assesses your needs and approves a treatment plan, you will get AHA referrals to support you. The therapist will then guide the allied health assistant to ensure you’re receiving consistent care and your goals are met.
Can AHA support all types of therapies?
Not all. Our AHAs at Physiocare & Rehab Services provide support across our main disciplines. These include Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Nursing, Podiatry, Myotherapy and Massage therapy.
